Universitas Negeri Padang Holds Discussion with the Indonesian Embassy in Russia
Padang - Universitas Negeri Padang and the Indonesian Embassy in Russia held a virtual discussion on Collaboration with Higher Education Institutions in Russia on Tuesday (16/7/2024).
The meeting was attended by Vice Rector IV, Dr. rer. nat. Deski Beri, Director of Internationalization, Prof. Rusnardi Rahmat Putra, Ph.D Eng., Head of Sub Directorate of International Services, Desvalini Anwar, S.S, M.Hum, Ph.D, Indonesian Education Attaché in Russia, Nanang Syaiful Fadillah, and Miss Anastasiia, one of UNP's International Students from Russia.
The discussion was conducted to explore ways to attract and recruit Russian students to study at Universitas Negeri Padang. As stated by Mr. Vice- Rector IV, UNP is very committed to welcoming international students to study at UNP and also to improving the quality and diversity of study programs offered.
Not only to meet the indicators of a World Class University, UNP is also fully aware of the benefits of expanding international cooperation to strengthen UNP's relationship with the international community.
“As discussed at the meeting, several agendas are planned to be implemented. One of them is UNP's plan to ask for assistance from the Russian Embassy to disseminate information to students in Russia about the International Student Admission of Universitas Negeri Padang and information about the International Scholarship Program offered by UNP,” said Director of Internationalization, Prof. Rusnardi Rahmat Putra, Ph.D Eng through a written statement received by UNP Public Relations, Thursday (07/18/2024).
In addition, continued Prof. Rusnardi, hoping that the Russian Embassy can bridge Universitas Negeri Padang with Higher Education Institutions in Russia to establish cooperation and sign an MoU.
“The Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Russia agreed to provide assistance to disseminate information about UNP's international programs and scholarships to students in Russia,” said the Director of Internationalization also explained about UNP's commitments to implement real collaboration in the future.
