
UNP welcomes visit from teachers of SMA 3 and SMA 1 Pariaman, discusses new student admissions
Padang - Universitas Negeri Padang received a visit from SMA 3 Pariaman and SMA 1 Pariaman in order to explore new student admissions for the 2024/2025. The event which took place in the SPI Conference Room, 3rd floor, Rectorate and Research Center, Universitas Negeri Padang, Tuesday (1/8/2024) was attended by a number of officials and academics from both parties.
The event was opened by the Academic Director of UNP, Abror, SE, M.E, Ph.D., who warmly welcomed the group and explained that the main purpose of this activity was to share information about new student admissions. "We hope that this event will benefit SMA 3 Pariaman and SMA 1 Pariaman in preparing students to pursue higher education," he said.
On that occasion, the Academic Director also explained a little about the process of admitting new students for the 2024/2025 , which although not much different from previous years, still experienced developments in terms of technical implementation. "For more complete information, Mr. Okki will explain further. In addition, currently UNP also has an RPL (Recognition of Past Learning) program," he added.
Meanwhile, Lasfita Sofia, Vice Principal of SMA 3 Pariaman expressed her deep gratitude for the warm welcome from Padang State University and explained that this visit was a step from SMA 3 Pariaman and SMA 1 Pariaman to prepare their students for the admission of new students for the 2024/2025 achievement pathway.
"We thank UNP for warmly welcoming our visit. Regarding our goal of knowing about the admission of new students for the 2024/2025 achievement pathway. We hope that UNP can provide the information we need as our steps to prepare students for the admission of new students for the 2024/2025 achievement pathway." he said.
The event continued with an explanation from the Head of the Office of Information Services, Public Relations and Protocol Okki Trinanda, S.E., M.M. regarding information about 2024 and 2025 admissions at Universitas Negeri Padang. Teachers from SMA 3 Pariaman and SMA 1 Pariaman had the opportunity to listen to explanations about various techniques that have been implemented at UNP, with the aim of providing practical information and strategies that can be adapted in preparation for new admissions for the achievement pathway in their schools.
The visit ended with a discussion session, which is expected to strengthen the relationship between UNP and the two high schools, and help the students of SMA 3 Pariaman and SMA 1 Pariaman in achieving higher academic performance.
