On Monday (September, 3) at Puncak Mortir, Jorong Guguak, Nagari Pariangan, which is the oldest village in the Minangkabau Tribe, was held an opening activities of LP2M (Institute for Research and Community Service) of Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP).
Dr. Ahmad Fauzi, one of the lecturers of UNP who participated in the Community Service activities in Tanah Datar and succeed to hold an international Physics conference a few times ago, was also presented at the opening ceremony where his presence looked so intimate with the Regent of Tanah Datar, Irdinansyah Tarmizi.
"My dedication is coming with the headline "The Development of Nagari Pariangan as a Center for History, Nature, Agro and Minangkabau Culture in the Framework of Acceleration and Expansion of Economic Development," Ahmad Fauzi said.
Ahmad Fauzi said that in Nagari Pariangan, there are many historical relics of the past which can be the evidence of the origin of the Minangkabau tribe. In 2012, the famous tourism magazine in the United States called Travel Budget also ever established Nagari Pariangan as one of the five most beautiful villages in the world.
"This has implications for the direction of the development of Nagari Pariangan as one of the tourist destinations. Of course the coronation then been the main focus for the government of Nagari Pariangan," Ahmad Fauzi said.
According to Ahmad Fauzi, the question is then how the ability of the government and community leaders in formulating the RPJMN that is oriented towards the historical, natural, agro, and Minangkabau culture; how the capacity of the government in organizing good and professional governance according to the Law on Government of Administration; how the ability of the tourism community to develop the tourism sector professionally and sustainably; how the ability of teachers in Nagari Pariangan in integrating local content material such as historical, natural, agro and minangkabau culture into school’s curriculum in relevant subjects; how the ability of government and figures the people of the community in preparing the Academic Text of the Master Plan for the Acceleration, Expansion and Economic Development of Nagari (MP3EN) Pariangan for 2017 to 2021 based on tourism activities. To answer this problems, he said that the aim of his dedication was to provide Technical Guidance (Bimtek) to the government apparatus and community leaders of Nagari Pariangan in formulating the RPJMN Pariangan oriented to historical, natural, agro and cultural tourism in compiling Standard for Operational Procedure to create good governance, impartiality, transparency, and excellent service, as well as providing training to the tourism community to develop the tourism sector professionally and sustainably. In addition, it also provides a training to teachers in integrating local content material such as historical, natural, agro and Minangkabau culture into the school’s curriculum in the relevant subjects, and also provides a Technical Guidance for the government apparatus and community leaders in composing manuscripts for Academic Master Plan for Acceleration, Expansion and Economic Development of Nagari (MP3EN) Pariangan in 2017-2021 period based on tourism activities.
