Cooperation between Kemenristekdikti and LP2M UNP; 70 Lectures Prepared for Applied Research Program

Padang-- Universitas Negeri Padang is always developing and disseminating science, technology and art through education, research and community service. UNP collaborates with the Ministry of Research and Technology, and Higher Education has carried out workshops to improve the quality of research proposals for applied research program in order to train and facilitate the lectures on Tuesday (April 30, 2019). Located at Kyriad Bumi Minang Hotel, as many as seventy lectures fulfilled the mandate in Law number 14 of 2005 and PP 37 of 2009 to hold the research obligations and lectures are able to prepare the proposals for applied research programs.

“Through this workshop, the researchers can produce a variety of technologies, artistic and cultural processes and products that culminate in intellectual property rights to increase the dignity of the nation. Moreover, the researcher must be carried out professionally with the principles of accountable, transparent and referring to the quality assurance system of research," said Vice Rector I UNP, Prof. Yunia Wardi. Prof. Yunia Wardi also explained that UNP as A accredited, every lecture must proactive and creative in arranging the ideas and problems. This workshop presented the speaker from Director of Research and Community Service Ocky Karma Radjasa to explain the procedures for preparing proposals such as ideas, making titles, making abstracts, background problems, formulating specific problems and aims of the problem.

Meanwhile, Secretary of LP2M UNP, Dr. Kairuddin said that this workshop is intended for lecturers who focus on applied research programs, so that they can prepare a better proposal and get dictation grants." Dr. Kairudin also explained that every lecturer had the opportunity to get both decentralized grants (basic research, funding and others) and centralization (competitive grants and national strategy).
