Padang—The level of education and training of taxation for all lectures, students, and employees of Universitas Negeri Padang need to be carried out continuously to increase the awareness of tax in West Sumatra. In 2019, UNP listed as many as 40.000 students, lecturers, staff of Universitas Negeri Padang should be a large amount of potential to realize a tax conscious and caring society.

The education and specializations were conveyed by the Head of Directorate General of Taxation of West Sumatra and Jambi, Aim Nursalim Saleh, ST., MBA at the signing of a joint Agreement between Universitas Negeri Padang about tax center and taxation education at the senate meeting room on Thursday (May 16, 2019). According to Aim Nursalim Saleh, through the agreement be able to increase the knowledge of taxation for the young generation in West Sumatra and Universitas Negeri Padang. In mid of 2019 will be a start of service of tax service office in the capital, regencies and cities of West Sumatra.

“I express my appreciations for the cooperation of the tax centre with Universitas Negeri Padang”, said Aim Nursalim Saleh in his presentation.

Meanwhile, Rector of UNP, Prof. Ganefri, Ph.D hoped that there would be an unbroken followup from the signing of the MoU. He also stressed that an MoU was an agreement that became a legal must, and for an agreement. The success of the signing of Mou requires consistent, and continuous follow-up from both parties.

The MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) between the Regional Office of DJP West Sumatra and Jambi and UNP which signed by the Head of the Regional Office of DJP West Sumatra and Jambi, Aim Nursalim Saleh, SE, MBA, by the Rector of UNP, Prof. Ganefri, PhD in Meeting Senate Meeting Room, Rectorate Building UNP on Thursday (May 16, 2019).

The scope of MoU regarding implementing education and training in the field of taxation for all lecturers, students and UNP employees. The implementation of tax information dissemination to the academic, community, tax consultations for taxpayers within the UNP and the community and exchange of information that is beneficial to both parties. This MoU will take effect from March 16, 2019, to March 2024. Meanwhile, Vice Rector I, Prof. Yunia Wardi and Vice Rector 4, Prof. Syahrial Bakhtiar also said that through MoU will increase the satisfaction of the DJP West Sumatra Jambi, and the signing of MoU also attended by the dean, and vice dean 2 of Universitas Negeri Padang.
