Padang—Universitas Negeri Padang receives 3.228 people through Joint Entrance Test Selection of State Universities (SBMPTN) 2019. The Institute of University Entrance Test (LTMPT) announced the result of SBMPTN on Monday (July 9, 2019). Vice Rector I UNP, Prof. Yunia Wardi, M.Si accompanied by Head of Bureau Academic, Ahmad Hamdani, M.M said that the capacity of National Higher Education Entrance Exam (SNMPTN) as much as 2.279 people and SBMPTN 3.228 people. There are 3,228 new students comes from Faculty of Education (648), Faculty of Languages and Arts (489), Faculty of Mathematics and Sciences (544), Faculty of Social Science (428), Faculty of Engineering (317), Faculty of Sport Sciences (427), Faculty of Economics (172) and Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality (203).
“Only 20% capacity of SNMPTN, 40% for SBMPTN and 40% of Independent admission. In 2019, UNP also opened the third route “independent admission,” said Prof. Yunia Wardi on Friday (July 12, 2019). Meanwhile, the Head of Bureau, Ahmad Hamdani added that the opening of UNP independent admission starts from June 17 until Monday.
"The announcement of the result of independent admission on 26 July through the website of UNP and verification of report card on August 1st, 2019," said Ahmad Hamdani. Furthermore, for the prospective student from independent admission who chooses the study program of Sport Science, Sendratasik, Fine Art, Visual Communication Design, and music, education are required to retain skills exams including the students who enter the achievement admission also required to take the skill tests on the 17-18 July 2019.
