After failing to pass the team on the 30th National Student Science Week (PIMNAS) in 2017, Universitas Negeri Padang is succeed on passing two teams in PIMNAS 2018 which will take place at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY) on August 29 to September 2, 2018.
Vice-Rector III of UNP, Prof. Ardipal, said that students who become UNP’s delegation team at the 31st PIMNAS deserve to be proud because joining on PIMNAS is not an easy case (Monday, August 27).
According to the announcement of the Directorate General of Learning and Student Affairs KEMENRISTEKDIKTI Number 2288 /B3.1/KM/2018 on August 2, 2018, UNP was succeed on passing 2 Teams of Student Creativity Program (PKM) to the final of 31st PIMNAS. The teams that were passed are (i) the Cipta Karsa Student Creativity Program (PKM-KC) which consisted of Yulia Wirna and Elisa Cristina Silitonga from Special Education Department (Faculty of Education), Mutawa Fika Rsuli Putri from Infromatika Engineering Education Department (Faculty of Engineering) and Sugiartono from Automotive Engineering Education Department (Faculty of Engineering); and (ii) the Exact Research (PE) Team which consisted of Syamsi Khairani from Chemistry Department (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences), Adila Afika from Chemistry Department (Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences), Wahyu Dilla Abdullah from Physics Education Department (Faculty of Engineering), and Iim Abdul Rohim from Electronic Engineering Department (Faculty of Engineering).
Ardipal added that with hard work, smart work, and optimal support by the supervisor, the dream on achieving a gold medal can be realized.
Accompanied by the Head of Student Affairs (Yusuf), the Head of Subdivision (Syamsul Bahri), and supervisor (Zulmiyetri and Wawan Purwanto, PhD), Ardipal said to the PKM teams to listen to the guidance of the mentor and to lend themselves to the best while pinning the pins to the teams.
