A total of 32 cadres of Nature and Environment Lovers (MPALH) from Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) were dispatched to Batu Gadang Indarung in order to attend the 35th Basic Education and Training (Diklat) of “Nature Lovers”. The cadres were officially released in front of the Student Activity Center Building on Thursday (January 10, 2019).
The Vice-Rector III of UNP, Prof. Ardipal released the students from various faculties who joined the Student Activity Unit of MPALH. Participants will take the Field Training after going through the selection process ranging from administrative selection, health and equipment checking.
"Regeneration of the MPALH of UNP membership is still being rolled out on every year through Field Training. The implementation of this activity certainly provides more knowledge and experience to each of member,” the Vice-Rector III, Prof. Ardipal said on his speech.
In addition, he explained that this activity aims to form the members of MPALH who are independent, disciplined, creative, innovative, and have high loyalty. "Thank you for the cooperation of the board of MPALH and the assistance of the seniors. Hopefully in the future they will have experience in the environment field, "he said.
Meanwhile, Rafika Efendi, one of the Diklat committee reported that as long as 32 of the training participants will explore on survival, caving / go tracing, rock climbing, land navigation, talismans, wet crossings, and the environment. At the time of finishing on January 20 which located in Batu Busuak as many as 32 members of the MPALH training will be confirmed as new members.
