On that occasion, Prof. Kadarsyah who won the 2018 Academic Leader Award revealed that research universities were emerged in the early 1800s. All campuses carried out massive research in addition to the teaching function. Nevertheless, the results of the research are only benefit for education, not think about the relevance to the needs of the world and industry. He said that since the beginning of the late 90's, ITB had started to be entrepreneurial university. It was marked by the emergence of chemical, pharmaceutical, electronics and machine research that was accepted in the industrial world. "For that reason, the leadership of the UNP must also take a leap to think about graduates that are relevant to the needs of the world and industry," he said.

He explained that in order to face the Industrial Revolution 4.0, UNP must refer to the entrepreneurial university, so that later UNP can run well on the teaching and learning functions, academic, and research that are beneficial to the industrial world and society.

"If research innovations that are directly applied in the real world can be done by UNP and its implementation can formally be applied, then the leap of UNP will be better," Prof. Kadarsah said. (Public Relations of UNP/Translated by Shilva Lioni)
