The Unit for Career and Entrepreneurship Development of the Universitas Negeri Padang (UNP) or known as UPKK UNP is one of the units for student activity which have been stood for 2 years on this October 15. This was the young among of the units for student activity (UKM) in UNP. This UKM have successfully raised the National Entrepreneurial Student Festival activities with theme “The Role of Youngpreneur in Demographic Bonus”.
For the 2018 National Entrepreneurial Student Activity event, the activity will be held from October 10 to October 13, 2018 with a series of activities such as Business Plan Competition, Business Plan poster competition, Tourism and Culture Visit in West Sumatera, and National Entrepreneurship Seminar.
For the Business Plan Competition event, the business plan proposals have been selected from various universities in Indonesia which the best 15 of them are coming from several universities such as Universitas Mercubuana, Universitas Andalas, Universitas Negeri Semarang, Institut Pertanian Bogor, Universitas Sriwijaya, Institut Informatika dan Bisnis Darmajaya Lampung, Universitas Jambi, UIN Walisongo Semarang, and UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. The best 15 teams will present their proposal at UNP on October 11, 2018 in the 3rd Floor of Senate Room on Bagonjong Building. Besides of the Business Plan Competition, a tour and cultural visit of West Sumatera which began with introducing Universitas Negeri Padang to the Finalists then heading to the turtle breeding site in Pariaman, Gandoriah Pariaman beach, Adityawarman Museum, the Great Mosque of West Sumatra, and then closing with a culinary tour on Padang Beach and one of the souvenir centers in Padang also was carried out to the finalist of 2018 National Entrepreneurial Student Activity event on October 12, 2018.
The National Entrepreneurial Seminar which organized by UNP UPKK was held on October 13, 2018 at Prof. Kamaludin Auditorium of Faculty of Economics. The event was attended by approximately 350 participants. The speakers of the event were Dr. Sukardi, M.T, H. Ramal Saleh, and Niko Raberta who gave material on “how young entrepreneurs deal with demographic bonuses”.
During the event, there were also some entertainment were presented such as culture dances from West Sumatra and the appearance of talent interests from participants or administrators of UPPK UNP. The event was closed by the announcement of the Champion of Business Plan Competition and the best poster competition. (Public Relations of UNP/Translated by Shilva Lioni)
